Hero's Hood Set

In 2000 and 2002, I collaborated with Janet Atkinson, founder of the Zeus Opera Dance Company, for a production called Hero's Hood. Initially at Propeller Centre for the Visual Arts, this dance, drama, and visual art piece was met with critical acclaim from Paula Citron of the Globe and Mail. Later, Janet Atkinson expanded the program and produced and directed Hero's Hood for a second time at Artword Theatre. For this production I replaced the original illustrated booklet I'd made with painted scenery to fit the stage using the same imagery. The result was a striking illustrated backdrop for the dancers.
